Here i did a lot of trial and normal landscape photographs. Some playing around with shutter speed a lot of apature chages. I have my favorites but they all have an experimental value, makes me think of a nature like or organic like sculpture. I was trying too experiment with perspective as well, hence why some are wonky, but that would be solved with a make-shift trypod.

This is the outcome from last weeks session on drawing from observation. This is one of the units that i feel im struggling with, at the start of the course we began by drawing boxes and cylinders in the hope that it would help out in situations when we are told too draw for instance..the bike..or in this instance the chairs. i feel i did a lot better than what i would've before the boxes exersize, but i feel i could improve. i suppose practice makes perfect!!

For my Location Photography unit i have been looking a lot into surrealist photography, for instance Philippe Halsmann or Diane Arbus. but now i have been looking into a bit more contemporary photography when i came across the work of Martin Stranka. a lot of his work focusses on the human form and somewhat on how it can be twisted and manipulated by light. i really love how a lot of the images are dark, and they have a warped feeling too them. check it out!!

Here i have tried too recreate Roy Lichtensteins work. i actually quite enjoyed the process and it is still yet too be completed. I started off with the lightbox just too trace the outline then continued with acrylic paints, the black outline was what suprised me most. It looked almost like a negitave and for me this really stood out. It also brought screenprinting too mind as it is the kind of stuctured image that you could print.

This is a peice of work that I have completed for my extending specialist techniques unit at college. I wanted too express my 'inner voice', i feel i have done quite well; usually when I'm working I take quite a lot of care too make sure everything is perfect and now i have tried too make it look a little less 'perfectionist'. The whole pont in this painting is too prove that you can defy the rules, in this case the rules of typography. i also wanted too use black as the defient side of this painting comes from within, it is quite a large part too play in my life and due too this i wanted it too be quite bold, as for the pink, too me it signifies an almost cheeky side. hope everyone likes it :)!
